Commencement occurs in a public venue and will be recorded and photographed for distribution through various SF State outlets. All audience members (or parents/ guardians of minors attending the event) acknowledge that they may appear on these recordings and photographs by virtue of their attendance at or participation in Commencement, and agree to the University’s use of photographed or videotaped materials through the University’s websites, applications and other channels of communication.
The following ballpark rules will be enforced:
- All graduates and guests are reminded to be respectful of each other. Any guest or graduate using obscene or abusive language, engaging in antisocial conduct or displaying any other offensive behavior is subject to removal from the ballpark. Giants Guest Services and Security employees are available throughout the ballpark.
- Graduates or guests entering the playing field, or who throw (or attempt to throw) objects in the stands or onto the field, are subject to ejection and criminal prosecution. You will also be held liable for any fines and/or damage.
- No alcohol (this includes non-alcoholic beer and wine) or illegal drugs may be brought into Oracle Park. Anyone found drinking under the legal age, using illegal drugs, or breaking any other laws, will be subject to immediate ejection and criminal prosecution. Any guest perceived to be in an intoxicated or impaired state may be denied admission to the park.
- Oracle Park is a Smoke-Free ballpark. Electronic smoking and smoking by vaporization are included in this "Smoke-Free" designation and are prohibited. Guests who fail to comply with Oracle Park's No-Smoking policy may be asked to exit the ballpark.
- Guests should keep proof of entry with them at all times.
- Sealed plastic bottles and soft-sided juice containers containing non-alcoholic beverages are allowed in Oracle Park. Unsealed plastic bottles and soft-sided containers will be subject to inspection and may be confiscated. Glass and metal cans are not permitted. Alcoholic beverages cannot be brought into the ballpark.
- Items intended for sale or trade may not be brought onto Oracle Park property, including the main parking lot, without a permit or license.
- Air horns are prohibited in the park. These items may be confiscated.
- Large bags or containers measuring OVER 16" x 16" x 8" are NOT allowed into the ballpark. All permitted bags, including purses, briefcases, and diaper bags (smaller than 16" x 16" x 8") may be searched before entering the park. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow additional time when entering the park. All bags and containers are subject to search.

Service animals accompanying guests with disabilities are welcome at Oracle Park. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, service animals are defined as dogs and, in some cases, miniature horses that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Other animals are prohibited. Service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal's work or the individual's disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls. Service animals must be under the control of their handler and be housebroken. Guests who need to "relieve" their service animal will be permitted to exit and re-enter the ballpark, subject to re-screening by security. Please have your ticket stamped by security personnel prior to exiting.

Secure bike parking is available on the Port walk between the viewing portals* and the Dignity Health Center. There is no charge for this service, but a donation can be made. All proceeds benefit the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition.
*Viewing portals will not be open during the Commencement ceremony.
Cameras and video equipment are allowed in Oracle Park. However, the equipment may not obstruct the view of others.
Elevators are located at each of the four entrances to the ballpark. The elevators at Willie Mays Plaza and Second Street Plaza provide access to all levels of the park. The elevators at Lefty O'Doul and Seals Plaza provide access to the Promenade Level only. Guests with disabilities and their companions are given first priority for service at all elevators.
In addition, at Willie Mays Plaza there are three escalators, which move guests up before and during the ceremony and change direction at the start of the graduate processional to bring guests down after the ceremony. Guest services personnel are posted at each ballpark entrance to assist any guest requiring assistance in locating their seats and ballpark services.
The First Aid Station, located on the Promenade Level behind Section 132, is open during all baseball games to provide evaluation and treatment to guests for minor medical needs. Dignity Health's physicians, nurses and emergency medical personnel are based in the First Aid Station. King American Ambulance Service is available for medical emergencies.
Concessions will be open at Oracle Park to sell food and beverages (with the exception of alcohol). You may also bring in food and beverages. Please refer to the restrictions noted in "Bags, Containers and Coolers" and "Bottles and Cans" sections of the rules.
Guest Services personnel are available at the Guest Services Desk, located behind home plate on the Promenade Level, for wheelchair requests, lost and found items, information about public transportation, stroller check, lost or found children and parents, and a variety of other services. Concierge personnel are available to assist guests on the Alaska Airlines Club and Oracle Suite levels, near the Willie Mays elevators.
To report or claim a lost item during, or after, an event or home game, please visit the Lost and Found section of the Giants website. Found items left after games or events will be held for two weeks. Any unclaimed items remaining after that time period will be donated to charity or discarded. Items may only be picked up at Oracle Park during Giants business hours. Guests will also have the option to have items shipped back at their expense. Guests who lost an item in a Luxury Suite may call the Luxury Suite Office at (415) 972-2100. Guests will be contacted only if the item is found.
For the comfort and enjoyment of all guests, noisemakers of any kind (e.g., air horns, etc.) are prohibited at Oracle Park.
This area is located at the Alaska Airlines Club Level Guest Services Desk adjacent to the Willie Mays elevator. This space is open to all nursing mothers. you may access the lounge from the Willie Mays elevator or adjoining stairwell.
For safety reasons Oracle Park does not allow in and out privileges.
There are 52 public restrooms (21 for men, 21 for women and 10 family) located on all levels throughout the ballpark. All public restrooms are accessible. Restrooms on the Promenade and View levels are painted yellow for easy identification, and all contain baby-changing tables.

In accordance with San Francisco City Ordinance, Oracle Park is a SMOKE-FREE facility with no internal smoking areas. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the ballpark. Electronic cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, and vaporizers are included in this prohibition.
Strollers are allowed into the ballpark. Fold-up strollers should be stored under the seat. Non-folding strollers can be stored at the following locations: Guest Services Station on the Promenade Level behind Home Plate, Guest Services desk on the Alaska Airlines Club Level, Concierge Desk on the Oracle Luxury Suite Level.
We strongly recommend that graduates and their families take public transit to Oracle Park.
Public Transit
BART
Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) provides service to Oracle Park via a transfer to Muni Metro. Transfer at Powell to the T Third/Central Subway (7-minute ride to 4th & King) or at Embarcadero to the N Judah (10-minute ride to 2nd & King). For more information on BART service, visit www.bart.gov.
Muni Metro & Bus
The N Judah stops at 2nd & King Station, adjacent to Oracle Park and the T Third/Central Subway line stops at 4th & King Station, one block from Oracle Park. For more information on Muni Metro service to Oracle Park, visit www.sfmta.com/places/oracle-park.
Caltrain
The 4th & King Street Caltrain terminal is located one block from Oracle Park. For more information on Caltrain service to Fourth and King terminal, please visit www.caltrain.com.
Bicycle Parking
Secure bike parking, operated by the SF Bicycle Coalition, is available on the Portwalk between the viewing portals and the Dignity Health Center. The Bike Valet service opens at gates-open time and closes 30 minutes after the conclusion of the event. There is no charge for this service, but a donation can be made. All proceeds benefit the Bicycle Coalition.
Ride-Hail & Taxi Service
There are a number of passenger loading zones around the ballpark. Please proceed to one of these zones before requesting your ride-hail vehicle. Taxis also frequent the streets surrounding the ballpark.
Parking
SF State recommends using public transportation to get to Oracle Park but if you will be driving, we recommend reserving parking in advance:
ADA Parking and Shuttles
In addition to ADA Parking, an Accessibility Shuttle service is available in Lot A/Pier 48. If you will need an ADA parking spot please be sure to have your placard visible so that you can be directed to an accessible parking spot.
Shuttles drop and pick up at the Ballpark next to the Giants Dugout store on Third Street and circulate throughout Lot A/Pier 48 starting at 3 p.m. and concluding at 11 p.m.
Lots around Oracle Park may also be open and their rates will vary.
Boating:
Limited boating facilities for private vessels are available near Oracle Park. South Beach Harbor offers guest slips by advance reservation only. For more information, call (415) 495-4911. Boaters should be advised that private vessels are not permitted to dock along the Port walk adjacent to the ballpark or at the China Basin Ferry Terminal.
