Experience the magic of SF State’s 123rd Commencement ceremony on Friday, May 24, at Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. SF State staff members are encouraged to sign up as an ambassador — an integral role in making this day monumental day a success. Ambassador assignments will be from 1:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Responsibilities include welcoming graduates and their guests helping guide our graduates during the opening procession and diploma procession. Ambassadors will be asked to arrive by 1:30 p.m. and will be supplied with a yellow windbreaker to wear.
As a thank you all Ambassadors will receive a special SF State hat and will be invited to the Thank You Lunch held on June 4 on the Fifth Floor Patio of the Administration Building!

SF State’s 2024 Commencement is just around the corner, and I write to encourage you all to join us for this joyous occasion.
Our Commencement, scheduled for Friday, May 24 at Oracle Park, is a significant milestone for our students and their families. More than 30,000 graduates, their families and friends will gather to recognize their accomplishments and bright futures. I encourage you to join in to help the Class of 2024 celebrate their successes by signing up to be a Commencement ambassador.
This event would not be possible without the work of our incredible ambassadors. This year we would appreciate your time, expertise and support in making sure this day runs smoothly for our graduating students and their families.
Ambassador assignments are from 1:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, May 24. To participate, ambassadors must get supervisor approval and attend at least one informational Zoom training. Trainings are scheduled for Monday, May 20, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and Tuesday, May 21, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Many assignments involve walking and standing for long periods of time.
